I have just finished a long research project and wanted to share the results with anyone who is interested.
The paper covers the 10 future forms in English and (I hope) provides a clear guide for when to use forms like shall, will, and going with a description of what each really means.
This is only the second edit so there may be a few errors in it. Please feel free to let me know if you find one as it will help me improve it.
You can download it here:

Feel free to share, and please provide any feedback. I hope you find it interesting and useful. _________________ The first step to teaching is realizing that you don't know nearly enough yourself.

It's a great job well done. Actually the majority of ESL students are confused how to differentiate between shall, will and going to. _________________ Mokhles Ibraheem

I tell my students to use 'will' wherever possible because it serves the purpose every time. |
