I am taking an hour of my office hours to alert all my colleagues inbound to China that there are "blind ads" being posted by the China Visa police (called the "PSB") that are being used as bait.

They are doing it again - just like in 2014. The China visa cops are running fake but VERY believable ads at Beijinger, Echinacities, and ESLcafe for ESL & TEFL teachjers to work in these cities:

BEIJING
SHANGHAI
SHENZHEN
GUANGZHOU
CHONGQING

The English in the ads is perfect and the pay and benefits are some of the best, but this is just a trick to find and lure all the teachers working illegally in China without a Z visa or real diploma. Some of the ads even are making up company and school names that sound like real ones. After they get your resume they will tell you to come for an interview and bring your original passport and diploma. When they did this back in 2014, over 800 teachers got busted. Anyway, here are the details so you can avoid the traps. If you are not 100% legal in China, do not answer "blind" ads with no company name that does not check out with a real web site that is at least a year or two old.
