I have used Dave's ESL Cafe over the years, and I will never use it again!
I have tried to post interesting material (with the same username) and
found the same bullies over the years. These same bullies made attacks
on my comments which eventually became locked. Stay away from Dave's
ESL Cafe. It's not worth the effort or time.

I love Dave's discussion boards. Admittedly, I'd hate to be on the receiving line of some of those attacks, but they are really entertaining to read.

We agree with you fully about the blog bullies at ESLCafe and the sad part is that most of them are paid staff bloggers or are irl... tefl teacher recruiters who use the forum as their own personal fishing grounds.

The biggest problem found there is that they constantly delete and ban people who insist that working without a Z visa and a real university degree in China is against the law and will get you arrested and deported as confirmed last April when over 1,200 expat teachers were thrown in jail. See http://chinascampatrol.wordpress.com.

Also if you search eslcafe at reddit.com you will see pretty much that veteran ESL and TEFL teachers avoid them like the plague. I regret that I did not see your post earlier as people need to avoid that website unless they are totally submissive with no opinions that might anger the gods, er the mods that rule there with an iron fist. Without exaggeration, they probably ban about 50 users ever week who dare to disagree with the top ten recruiters who have been there for years.
