Sometime this month, I was curious about this ESL employment opportunity to teach in London. I applied online, sent my resume. I even called the contact person and was able to talk to him on the phone.
This week, I was sent a contract and all other information. It was too good to be true, because they just based their hiring on my resume. In the e-mail, I was required to go to a website to request for a work permit.
I browsed the internet, looked for their address and it was a school for accountancy, and not middle school learners as I was informed. They also do not have a website, which is kind of strange these days of modern technology.
I saw a posting like mine inquiring about middle learners, then got no more information about it. Did that person get further info about the school? or did she go for it?
Can anybody help me with my questions? There are so many ugly things going on these days that cause my anxiety; however, it is hard to pass if this were really legit.
Thanks,

Thanks for the immediate reply.
I just got an e-mail today, and the "work permit" was marked UAE. They were asking for a $400 something for the application and to send it through western union.
This middle learners is definitely a scam. Beware!

Hi,

I am writing a business plan for an English education venture and need to find some numbers to back it up. I have spent days trying to find statistics on the number of English learners worldwide, in Japan, in China and S Korea without any success. Does anyone know of a reputable source where I might be able to get these figures?

Thank you.

Damon
