China is a minefield of scams friends. I just finished my second year here and I am leaving without a second thought. 2021 UPDATE: TEFL teachers, and all foreign teachers for that matter need to update their due diligence toolkit especially when it comes to Asia and China in Particular. And when it comes to TEFL courses, our 6 month investigation shows that the most legit and beneficial courses are those given by an accredited university. It s very easy to become a scam victim in Asia and and more so in China. Be careful and have fun guys.

I just spent an hour reviewing posts at the China Scam Patrol Reddit sub and feel 10 times safer teaching in China now.
