I'm now in a disastrous situation here. You guys might be able to help me out.
What happened is that I all set to arrive Japan in the first week of November as I have got employment with one of the biggest ESL institute. I have got my VISA done, air ticket purchased, I ended my current lease, and worst of all, quitted my current job which could be my long term.
Yesterday I have received this email from the employer with an attached letter attention to my name on it. This letter pretty much destroyed me and given me a very negative impression of how a Japanese English institute operates.
In the letter it basically says that due to business reasons they are not offering me this position at the moment."
I am totally lost right now as my mind are all set to work in Japan let alone all the things that I have given up for this role.
Can you please shed a light on this situation as to what is the best thing to you now?
A very frustrated Pete |

Honestly Pete (and I'm sorry to be so harsh) but if your above post is any representation of your level of English then it's likely they've rescinded their job offer because of this.
The vast number of mistakes in even that post reflect a need for English lessons yourself and if you have sent emails or letters to them with similar errors then this would certainly have given them cause for not hiring you. _________________ The first step to teaching is realizing that you don't know nearly enough yourself.

HAHA, I just realized how many typos are there on my post. I am too lazy to proofread this one. My apologies.
I wouldn't say that my English is 100% perfect, but I definitely do not make mistakes like this in real life. I proofread all my emails to them so mistakes like that will not appear on any communications between me and the school.
Let me make this clear, this is a LAST MINUTE rejection. We had the face to face interview and I was HIRED. I also had countless amount of emails confirming my employments, arrival dates etc. I just couldnt understand why this could happen. |

Assuming your English is good, do you have the funds (or can you beg/borrow/steal them) to get over to Japan for a month or so and find work while you're there? I'm talking about living in a hostel or something and tramping the streets to find a place which will hire you? |

"quit" does not become "quitted". I do not believe that it was a typo |
