Does anyone know of any schools that need teachers for summer courses. They usually run from mid July to the end of August. and provide accommodation. I want to start teaching this way. Thanks! |

Hello Garym
Welcome to the forum.
Are you only interested in Australia or are you thinking of further afield, keeping in mind that you will have to pay your own bus fare?

Unfortunately I think you'll find it hard to find work during the summer unless you are there in person.
The reason is simple. The usual school year in most countries runs from September to July when the EFL teachers are laid off for the Summer. Some of those teachers will go off on holiday whilst others will hang around waiting for work to tide them over the summer.
If a job becomes available those teachers already in the town will be the first to hear about it and the first to apply. It isn't often, in my experience, that summer jobs are advertised since they're usually filled by word of mouth before the course begins.
Sorry! |
