Hello,
I'm looking for a good set of textbooks for Young Learners which stress American English rather than British English. Can anyone recommend anything good?

How young? For conversation, I like Let's Talk, for general English, ther're two decent ones, the names escape me, but if you register on onestopenglish.com (worth doing anyway, its free) you can access some of them online.

Below you'll find some links to the two books suggested by Alinguist and Loganhesse.
The Let's Talk series suggested by Loganhesse is authored by Leo Jones. Click here to read more about it.
Also, Alinguist is correct; Betty Schrampfer Azar has many texts on grammar. Many of them are quite costly but one of her more inexpensive ones (about $18.00 USD) is called Understanding and Using English Grammar.
