Hey anyone notice that teachers by and large are tree huggers? Yeah it's a generalization...but an accurate one.

What's up with that? Personally, me being a teacher and all it gives me a bad name. People in this profession are always belly-aching about this and that..."woe is me" and what not.

Goodnight

P.S. I'm off to get a new pair of birkenstocks and cut off khaki pants to wear to my business english class...haaa!!!

I'll agree that most FTs here in Mexico are left-leaning...pretty much like back home in Canada. Better that they are here teaching and not back home on strike or voting NDP. Wink

We get people from all walks here. Of Americans, most I've met have been Democrats. Very few Republicans. A lot of people here in Mexico City are teaching in companies, so dreds and khakis are gone in favour of a much better income.

I can't say I've run into many Bush supporters during my experience with EFL Teachers, how about you guys?

One thing I can say though is while abroad, I know my English teaching friends are pretty delinquent voters, shame on you. Ready for this: In 2000 I lived near 4, yes that is 4, registered absentee voters from Florida, all Bush haters, who were too lazy to cast their absentee vote! They were cool dudes though.
