There is a post for an ESL teaching position in Barcelona (very similar to a recent scam posting for Don Quijote school). Once again, the offer seems too good to be true. Anyone know anything about it?

It is too good to be true; it's another scam. The telephone number is the same. We will remove it from our ESL Jobs Section

I would like to ask somebody`s help. I also read the ABC College`s job ad on several different ESL job homepages.I applied for this position and it seems that they accepted me.However, before i accept or sign any contract I would like to make sure that everything is okay with them.If anyone has any positive or negative feedback about that school please share with me and the others.

There are many Colleges/Schools using the name ABC and most of them are genuine. However, some are not and therefore, you need to check them out thoroughly.
The scams we have come across have used the following telephone number 00934 6753 57415
Furthermore, the scammers tend to use web based email providers, such as Yahoo and Hotmail.
Therefore, this one is a scam http://esljobs.biz/view.php?job_id=662
This one is genuine http://www.abccollege.es/work.htm

And this is the email the notification came from ABC Festival College <abcfestivalcollege>
They posted the AD in translator directory, I wrote back asking more information about the job and also letting them know that the website abcfestivalcollegecom is not working but opens vistaprintcom... that is strange for me and makes me thing it is suspicious. Yet they haven't let me know why their website is not working, only information about the job... |
