Hi, everyone.

I have just graduated from university in Canada with a BA in History, with minors in Applied Information Technology and Political Science.

In February I am going to Australia (NSW) for my Graduate Diploma in Education (Secondary) with teachable subjects of HSIE (History), and computer studies.

I have a foundation certificate in TESOL from Global TESOL College. I'm still working toward a diploma, and I hope to have it completed by the time I leave for Australia.

Basically, I'm just wondering if having a teaching qualification (even though in another subject) would be beneficial. I have PLENTY of instructional experience from previous jobs since I was 16.

Would this help me find a better teaching job? I'm looking for Central/Eastern Europe.

Education in the largest sense is any act or experience that has a formative effect on the mind, character or physical ability of an individual. In its technical sense, education is the process by which society deliberately transmits its accumulated knowledge, skills and values from one generation to another.lacrosse camps

Your experience in teaching will count, even if it is in another subject. You can definitely go forward as you are also planning to complete your diploma.

I started teaching in Japan with a degree in Computer Science and no certifications.
Your history degree is certainly more relevant Smile
