Hi All,
I'm curious what the consensus response is here. I have a ton of lesson plans I have created over the years, piles of them. I'm curious, I'd like to publish them to make money, not sure of the form yet, but somehow make money off them since I wrote them...but...
Then I got to thinking I was working for various schools all the years I put these together, and so, do I really 'own' my own plans, or do the schools I was working for own the copyright to them, and thus I can't publish them and make money.
Any thoughts on this?
Thanks,

I think if part of your job role was "content creation" or something along those lines then yeah those schools could be a bit angry about it. I would have a look at your contract if you aren't sure.
If you simply made lesson plans for your own lessons while you worked there though and they didn't necessarily continue to use them then I would imagine you would be more in the clear. |
